Travel Policies

Policy on Travel Warnings & Alerts

In January 2018, the U.S. Department of State replaced Travel Warnings & Travel Alerts with a new Travel Advisory system. Current TCU policy is based on Travel Warnings and Travel Alerts. While new policy is being implemented, the Center for International Studies will liaise with appropriate administrators to obtain approval for proposed travel to areas of heighten concern. Per Diem Policy & Rates

TCU employees will utilize a per diem rate for meals and incidental travel expenses if they are traveling internationally on a Center for International Studies program or for one of the colleges that has opted into the policy, which includes the:

  • AddRan College of Liberal Arts
  • College of Education
  • College of Science & Engineering
  • Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences
  • John V. Roach Honors College
  • Neeley School of Business
